Sponsor a Child This Christmas: Christmas for Challenged Children

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Make this Christmas shine for a child who needs joy more than ever...

We at Spectrum Fitness are asking our members and friends to come and help give back to the community this Christmas season. You will be making Christmas possible for hundreds of local children with disabilities who are experiencing financial difficulties.

Since 2001, Christmas for Challenged Children has provided gifts for an average of 700 needy children of disability each year with each child receiving at least three gifts each. Children's names are obtained from agencies such as St. Jude, Volunteers of America, Louisiana School for the Deaf, Cadence, McMain's Child Development Center, Community Resource Coordinators, Capital Area Human Services, and Pine Ridge School.

Christmas for Challenged Children is made possible by WalMart in Central, WalMart on College Drive, KMart in Gonzales and our seven Spectrum Fitness Club locations. Please join us this year as we use our abilities to make Christmas possible for the needy children of disabilities. Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas and blessed New Year!

Directions for donating:

1. Visit your Spectrum Fitness and choose a red bow from the Christmas tree.

2. Purchase the suggested items or those of your choice.

3. Wrapping is not necessary. Please attach the white label with the child's name and number to your gift. Please place multiple gifts in 1 bag with label.

4. Return the gifts to your Spectrum Fitness location.
